Aelia unveils new malt exclusive
Earlier this month Aelia unveiled its latest whisky exclusive, in partnership with one of the world's most prestigious malt brands. The Balvenie Single Cask 1970 was chosen by David Stewart, The Balvenie Malt Master, and by Aelia senior liquor buyer Philippe Lanusse, with the 191 bottles produced available only from Aelia outlets.
The Balvenie Single Cask 1970 is an exceptional bottling of the acclaimed malt, containing sherry notes unusual in The Balvenie range. Each bottle is hand-filled from the original cask numbered 16191, and is housed in a superb presentation case bearing the cask number, the filling and bottling dates, the individual number of the bottle and the total number of bottles in the limited edition. The Balvenie Single Cask 1970 is priced at 680 in duty-free and will be available at several terminals in Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, including the new S3 satellite.
Commenting on the launch, Lanusse said: At Aelia we are very proud to unveil this exceptional malt, which is a very prestigious addition to our range of exclusive products. The Balvenie Single Cask 1970 will appeal to the growing number of knowledgeable customers who are looking for rare items unavailable on the High Street, and who are willing to experiment and to trade up. The demand for rare whiskies is intensifying, especially among travellers from Asia, and we are sure that this new exclusive will have a broad appeal.
