Aelia exclusive "Cockpit" gets rollout

Aelia's latest fragrance exclusive by Azzaro has enjoyed a high-profile launch across the retailer's store network this month. The men's fragrance Cockpit is the second collaboration between Aelia and Azzaro, following the success of the Jetlag edt, launched in 2006 and also exclusive to Aelia's stores.

Cockpit is a vibrant, fruity and sensual fragrance housed in a striking midnight blue bottle designed by Federico Restrepo. The 75ml edt spray is priced at $32 in duty-free and available at all Aelia's Beauty Unlimited stores and multi-category outlets.

Commenting on the launch, Aelia perfumes and cosmetics director Béatrice Delorme said: "The success of Jetlag set the bar very high for our future projects with Azzaro, but I am very confident that Cockpit will exceed our expectations. We've worked hard to make the promotional material as impactful as possible, and we're very happy with the results. Initial sales during our high-profile promotion period are extremely encouraging and the customer response has been fantastic.

We have long stated our belief that exclusive products meet a number of key customer needs, not least the desire to discover something different. Parfums Azzaro, along with other beauty houses such as Guerlain, have shared that belief and given us invaluable support in our bid to be different. I'd like to thank Azzaro for their continued dedication to travel-retail and to new product development.

Aelia will continue to innovate in the perfumes and cosmetics category, which is vital to the current and future growth of the group.
